THIS IS WHAT WE CAN DO WITH SHORT TRAVEL AND SWITCH INFINITY. IT TRANSCENDS THE WEIGHT-WEENIE, UPHILL ONLY MODELS AND REPLACES IT WITH A PRECISION RIDING BIKE. IF SOME PEOPLE ASSUME IT'S A DOWNHILLER'S XC BIKE, WHATEVER… FOR US, IT'S SIMPLY THE BIKE WE ALWAYS WANTED TO BUILD. THE SB100.
The Switch Infinity was re-designed specifically for 100mm of travel, it's lighter and tucks neatly behind the seattube. Pretty rad. There is no performance difference between this and the other switch mechanism. The SB100 switch utilizes the same proven FOX Racing bushings, seals, and Kashima stanchions as the switch found on other models.
The water bottle fits comfortably inside the front triangle, where you might be used to looking for it. It took considerable effort to accommodate a bottle, optimize stand-over and meet our kinematic expectations, but we knew it was important to you. So we finally did it.
The new Switch Infinity design and placement is not only visually pleasing creating classic frame lines, the uninterrupted seattube allows space for longer dropper seatposts.
Genre killing geometry. Inspired by going fast downhill, but balanced to provide uphill efficiency. The SB100 blurs the lines between XC and Trail. A longer front center with shorter chainstays and a slacker head angle find the right combination of up and down. This design also allows for an uninterrupted seatpost, to fit a longer dropper. Plus is looks killer.
The SB100 employs an integrated headset which allows for a lower overall stack height and cleaner carbon layup. The cleaner carbon layup means there are no aluminum inserts and less material in the headset juncture. This all leads to a lighter, stronger front triangle.
Internally tunneled cable routing allows for clean lines and a quiet rattle-free ride. It also makes servicing your bike smooth and straight forward.
I TENTATIVELY POINTED THE SB100 DOWN MORE TECHNICAL TRAILS THAT WOULD HAVE TERRIFIED ME ON OTHER BIKES OF SIMILAR TRAVEL, AND WAS RELIEVED BY THE EASE OF CONTROL.
THIS IS THE BEST FRIGGING XC BIKE I HAVE EVER RIDDEN. MAN, IT LOOKS FAST AND IS SURPRISINGLY CAPABLE ON THE DESCENT. #SHREDDY #SB100
